About the Programme
This is a two year programme divided in year-1 and year-2 in the annual system of education in Pharmacy. Students after appearing in 2nd year D. Pharm are required to undergo a three months practical training in a government hospital or a Pharmacy Store approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), which is spread over 500 hours of training in drug store management, precription handling, inventory control and assisting medical officers in regular procedures that deal with the patients.

Students after graduating can open their own Pharmacy store or work as a Registered Pharmacist in private or government hospitals and dispensaries. In order to practice Community Pharmacy by opening their own Pharmacy Stores, they are also required to register themselves with the State Pharmacy Council as “Registered Pharmacist” to obtain the desired licensure to practice the profession.
